If you're renovating your house or apartment, you could think about carefully removing any existing tiles which will be replaced, so that they can be reused in another project.
Here we've carefully removed these thin, long marble tiles from the skirting board and intend to re-use them as tiles on the floor in the canteen (cellar).
It wasn't always possible to get them off in one piece, but these smaller pieces won't go to waste. As I'll be tiling in the canteen (cellar), I will use all of the marble tiles, broken and whole in a mosaic-type arrangement. They're beautiful, but a bit old school compared to more modern materials such as timber floorboards, concrete and steel but I suspect the result will be 1000% better than the existing dusty concrete floor.
